Row Unit Configuration
This research planter is equipped with 12 double-disk openers mounted across two ranks, supplemented by a center-mounted third rank featuring double-disk banders. The center rank is laterally adjustable via a hydraulic cylinder, allowing tool-free fertilizer offset adjustment with high precision.
An additional feature includes a horizontally adjustable front rank, ideal for intercropping operations. Within minutes, operators can hydraulically reposition the front rank to align directly behind the rear rank or centrally between the rear openers—no tools or manual measurements required.
Fertilizer and Product Delivery System
The delivery system is engineered for versatility and accuracy, featuring:

True Hydraulic down pressure
Each of the three ranks offers independent hydraulic downforce adjustment, managed via dedicated hand knobs with large, easy-to-read pressure gauges mounted on the planter. Additionally, each rank can be individually raised or lowered, providing flexibility to accommodate variable field conditions and trial configurations.
Variable Rate Application
Supports real-time variable rate application from each product box. Individual plots can receive customized application rates without stopping the machine, ensuring operational efficiency and data integrity in research environments.
Hydraulic Easy Hitch System
The hydraulically adjustable hitch allows for simple leveling of the planter directly from the hitch control. This is particularly advantageous during trailer loading—by adjusting the hitch height, the openers can be raised to avoid contact with ramps or trailer deck, improving safety and ease of transport over traditional fixed hitch systems.
Run Monitoring
Equipped with individual blockage monitors and flow sensors on each run to ensure uninterrupted product delivery and real-time performance feedback.
